Halloween in Enfield Sensory Friendly Trick or Treat Route

Halloween can be a very intimidating and scary time for some children. Especially those with sensory experiences that make Trick or treating and dressing up, impossible, those with social anxiety, those with additional needs and those who are simply scared.

This year, prompted by a request from some parents to have a Sensory Friendly Trick or Treat route, EDG is facilitating anyone who wishes to allow early trick or treaters to their door on Halloween between the hours of 3pm and 5pm.

These special guests will hopefully be able to show off their costumes, and grab a treat or two early, when it is brighter outside, and the noise of fireworks hasn't yet started.

If you would wish your house to be shown on the map for parents with children who may benefit from this, please can you complete the form below. The form closes at midnight on October 29th, as we need October 30th to update the google map and send it out to any participating parents. The live maplink will be emailed out to parents and shared on local groups for parents. (On November 1st, like a ghost, the map with the trick or treat locations will disappear!)

We would also please ask that you display this PUMPKIN picture in your front window or door so that parents know they have the right house and that it is ok to approach.

(Click on the picture and it will open on your computer. Then Right Click and press 'Print')

If you are a parent of a kid who would benefit from doing an early sensory friendly Trick or Treat and want a copy of the google maplink of participating houses, please complete THIS FORM to get it emailed to you on October 30th. You can bring this with you on your walk to make sure you only go to participating houses.
